Gombe State Partners EIDU to Enhance Learning for 40,000 Pupils

Gombe State has entered into a partnership with the global educational technology organization EIDU to enhance classroom learning in public primary schools, aiming to benefit 40,000 pupils. This initiative is part of Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya's education reform agenda, which seeks to address poor learning outcomes and strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills among students.

Currently, 11,555 pupils across 16 schools in three local government areas are already benefiting from the program. The first phase includes training 300 teachers and introducing a technology-enabled teaching model designed to improve lesson delivery and student engagement.

The program also aims to equip classrooms with digital learning tools and structured lesson guides. Commissioner for Education Aishatu Umar Maigari emphasized the importance of improving classroom learning to ensure meaningful educational outcomes.

The initiative will also provide educational administrators with access to real-time data through a digital dashboard to monitor classroom performance and track pupil progress.
