Gombe State Partners with Tunisian Consortium for Development Projects

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has entered into a strategic partnership with the Tunisian Consortium for African Development (TUCAD) to accelerate development in Gombe State. The agreement, signed in Abuja, involves collaborating on bankable projects in key areas such as water, energy, transport, and sports infrastructure. The partnership seeks to leverage the expertise of the Tunisian consortium to unlock new investment opportunities in line with Gombe State's development priorities.

The delegation from TUCAD, led by Vice President Issam Ben Youssef, outlined their technical competencies and project portfolio during the meeting. Governor Inuwa Yahaya emphasized the state's commitment to providing a conducive environment for credible international investors and ensuring the successful execution of projects. The agreement includes provisions for technical assessments and feasibility studies, with a focus on enhancing water supply, renewable energy deployment, and urban development.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by representatives from both parties, including government officials and executives from the consortium. The collaboration is expected to strengthen Gombe State's capacity in critical sectors and foster sustainable development through private sector-led initiatives and technology transfer.
