Etsu Nupe Calls for Prayers for Nigerian Leaders

Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar urged Nigerians to pray for their leaders to enable them to deliver good governance and promote development in the country. This call was made during a visit by Niger State Governor Umaru Bago to the Wadata Palace in Bida, where they observed iftar together.

Abubakar highlighted the need for divine intervention and guidance for leaders, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing that sustained prayer is crucial for leaders to make decisions that foster peace, unity, and development. He also commended the state government for fostering closer ties with traditional institutions and engaging critical stakeholders.

Governor Bago expressed optimism regarding the reconstruction of the Jebba-Bida-Lambata road and the ongoing Minna-Bida road project, which are expected to boost the economy. Sheikh Adamu Liman Yakatu, the Chief Imam of Bida, offered special prayers for the governor and the state.
