Adeleke Urges Osun Journalists for Balanced Reporting

On Thursday, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State addressed members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Osun State Council, led by their newly elected chairman, Adeyemi Aboderin, during a courtesy visit in Osogbo. The governor emphasized the importance of balanced reporting and a strict adherence to journalistic ethics, particularly in light of the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2025.

He highlighted the media's role in ensuring transparency and accountability within the government. Adeleke congratulated Aboderin on his election and called for collaboration between the NUJ and the state government to promote democratic values.

Aboderin expressed appreciation for the governor's support and proposed training programs for journalists to enhance their coverage of the electoral process. The governor also encouraged the permanent employment of freelance journalists at the Osun State Broadcast Corporation and reaffirmed the government's neutral stance during the NUJ elections.
