Governor Alia Orders Security Deployment After Attack in Saai

Governor Hyacinth Alia has directed prompt security deployment to Saai, located in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, following an attack on the community by suspected armed herdsmen on Wednesday morning. The assault left several individuals dead and others injured.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia described the incident as a senseless and cowardly act of violence against innocent citizens, particularly at a critical time when farmers are cultivating their crops. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and urged the community to remain calm and vigilant.

Governor Alia emphasized that his administration is committed to ensuring the safety of farmers and the protection of agricultural activities in the state. He called for a manhunt to bring the attackers to justice and reassured citizens that peace would be restored throughout Benue State.
