Gov Bala assures to resolve challenges at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Airport

Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has pledged to address challenges at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport (SATBIA). The airport has been facing difficulties due to the absence of a complete Instrument Landing System (ILS), making landings challenging for pilots, especially in poor visibility conditions.

Governor Mohammed recently met with officials from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) and the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) to discuss solutions to these issues. He had previously directed the repair of the airport's localizer, which improved landing conditions.

The Governor and the agencies have now agreed on the procurement of the remaining ILS components, a crucial step towards resolving navigation challenges at the airport and enhancing air traveler safety.
