Bauchi Governor Commissions 2,176 Security Guards

On a Saturday, Bauchi State Governor Sen Bala Abdulkadir Moham commissioned 2,176 trained guards to bolster internal security across the state. The training, conducted at the Police Training School, aims to enhance surveillance and combat criminal activities in forest areas, which have become increasingly vulnerable.

Governor Moham acknowledged the challenges posed by criminal elements using forests as hideouts and emphasized the importance of the newly trained personnel in safeguarding the state's natural resources. He urged local government authorities and traditional institutions to support the forest guard corps in fulfilling their mandate.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, called on the guards to remain vigilant and adhere strictly to human rights principles while discharging their duties. The training program also aimed to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youth, thereby contributing to community development and security.

The governor expressed confidence that the trained personnel would significantly address insecurity and promote peace in the region.
