Umo Eno's Strategic Rural Development in Akwa Ibom

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State is acknowledged as a master strategist and deep thinker, particularly in the context of rural development. Under his administration, the state has engaged in the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in collaboration with the World Bank, with a mission to commission 11 kilometers of rural road construction by May 2026.

This initiative aims to enhance agricultural access and promote economic inclusivity for underprivileged communities. Anieti Usen, a professor and environmentalist, and Udem Udofia, also an academic, have noted Eno's commitment to connecting rural areas and improving infrastructure.

The RAAMP project distinguishes Akwa Ibom State as it implements quality strategies to execute rural access projects, setting it apart from other states in Nigeria. Eno's administration has focused on building model schools, health centers, and supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in local communities, demonstrating a compassionate approach to governance.
