Fintiri Orders Resignation of Defecting Appointees

On Wednesday, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State directed all political office holders who have defected to other parties to resign immediately. This directive aims to preserve loyalty and integrity within the state government and to prevent any potential sabotage, information leakage, or obstruction of policy implementation.

Fintiri emphasized that the alignment of appointees with other political parties poses a clear risk to the administration's strategies. The affected appointees are required to submit their resignation letters to the Secretary of the State Government within 48 hours of the notice.

Failure to comply with this directive will result in the immediate termination of their appointments, cessation of salaries, and termination of benefits. The announcement was shared with journalists by the Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosik.
