Tinubu and Lawal Discuss Zamfara Security and Economy

On Thursday, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja to discuss critical issues concerning security and economic development in Zamfara State. According to a statement from Lawal's spokesman, Sulaiman Idri, the meeting primarily addressed the worsening security situation in Zamfara.

Governor Lawal briefed President Tinubu on the progress made in tackling insecurity and highlighted specific areas requiring further federal intervention to restore peace. In response, President Tinubu reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to supporting Zamfara, which includes plans to increase troop deployment and provide necessary equipment to strengthen security operations.

Additionally, Governor Lawal updated the President on the state's economic performance, particularly improvements in internal revenue generation, and sought additional federal support to boost local industries and create jobs. The meeting concluded shortly after President Tinubu's engagement with Governor Lawal regarding the progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
