Gov Mbah to immortalise football legend, Christian Chukwu

Governor Mbah has announced plans to immortalize the late football legend, Christian Chukwu, who passed away on April 12 at the age of 74. The governor described Chukwu as a national treasure whose impact went beyond sports, speaking directly to the soul of the nation.

He expressed deep sorrow at the loss, noting that Chukwu was a unifying beacon during times when the nation needed a symbol of pride and unity. In honor of the late footballer, Mbah has directed that the jersey number 5, which Chukwu wore while playing for Enugu Rangers, be retired.
