Jigawa State Governor Appoints Emir of Dutse as Amirul Hajj 2026 Leader

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has approved the appointment of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Dr. Hamim Muhammad Nuhu Sanusi, as the Amirul Hajj for the state's 2026 pilgrimage.

The official delegation for the pilgrimage includes members of the Amirul Hajj committee such as Malam Umaru Nasarawa, Alhaji Kabiru Ali Kachallan, and others. The appointment is based on the appointee's record of dedication, integrity, loyalty, and religious commitment.

Governor Namadi emphasized the importance of the appointee demonstrating qualities in discharging duties. The Amirul Hajj team will closely work with the Jigawa State Pilgrim Welfare Board and relevant agencies at the state, federal, and international levels to ensure the success of the coordination of the Hajj exercise.

The appointment is effective immediately.
