Ebonyi Governor Demands Deployment of 400 NSCDC Personnel to Tackle Illegal Mining

Governor Nwifuru of Ebonyi State visited the NSCDC command to address the issue of illegal mining and insecurity in the state due to inadequate manpower. He highlighted the proliferation of illegal mining activities and the need for regulatory oversight.

The governor requested the federal government to absorb 194 potential recruits from Ebonyi State into the NSCDC to enhance security and reduce youth unemployment. He emphasized the importance of federal support in enforcing mining regulations and securing valuable resources like gold.

The governor also pledged logistical support for the NSCDC personnel.
