Kogi Governor Ododo Recovers 30 Guns from Terrorist Kingpin

Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo reported the recovery of 30 General Purpose Machine Guns from the notorious terrorist Kachallah Ibrahim Battujo, who was killed in a security operation in the forest last month. Speaking in Abuja, Governor Ododo disclosed that the state administration had acquired between 150 to 200 attack drones to hit desired targets in the fight against insecurity.

He did not specify the details of the drone operations that led to Battujo's death, who was reportedly behind recent attacks on schools in Iluk Bunu, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area. Governor Ododo emphasized the need for adequate funding for state vigilante services and proposed a framework to integrate state civil services.

He lamented the lack of verified data on solid minerals in the state, which he believes deters foreign investment, and mentioned plans to raise N7 billion for surveying solid mineral resources, including lithium and platinum. Additionally, he proposed the construction of Zariagi International Airport to attract serious investors.
