Lagos State Dominates National Youth Games, Promotes Sports Talent Discovery

Lagos State emerged as the winner of the 9th National Youth Games, securing 52 gold, 32 silver, and 26 bronze medals, ending Delta State's eight-year winning streak. Delta State finished second, followed by Edo State in third place.

The event showcased young sports talents from various states, with Bayelsa and Kwara completing the top five finishers. President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori praised the athletes and administrators for their participation, emphasizing the unifying spirit the games fostered.

The National Youth Games were commended as a platform for discovering and nurturing young sporting talents in Nigeria, with a focus on grassroots sports development and national unity.
