Kano Government Denies Snubbing Emir Sanusi II Claims

The Kano State Government has dismissed allegations that Governor Abba Yusuf snubbed Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II during the Hawan Nasarawa traditional durbar, which took place on the third day of Sallah celebrations. A statement issued by the spokesperson for the emir, Dawakin Tofa, described the claims as baseless and intended to create tension.

The government clarified that Governor Yusuf had previously planned to receive the emir but could not do so due to a scheduling conflict with a strategic meeting in Lagos. The statement emphasized the cordial relationship between the governor and the emirate council and urged the public to disregard the false reports.

Additionally, it was noted that the governor had attended Eid prayers led by the emir earlier in the day, further underscoring the amicable relations between the two parties.
