Governor Adeleke Emphasizes Education Importance at Minaret University Inauguration

Governor Adeleke of Osun State stressed the significance of education during the inauguration of Minaret University in Ikirun. He emphasized the role of education in fostering active citizenship to resist tyranny and lawlessness.

The university, built on the legacy of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, aims to advance scholarship and good governance. Chancellor Minaret University Azeez Alatoy urged students to embrace discipline and excellence.

Prof. Abdullah Abdur Rahman Adeleke, the pioneer vice chairman of the institute, outlined the mission to develop human resources and contribute to socio-economic development. The university plans to focus on data science, information technology, cybersecurity, and other disciplines to address societal challenges.

Governor Adeleke lauded the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for founding the institute, emphasizing its role in responding to Nigeria's social, economic, and moral challenges.
