Katsina Governor Lauds Security Forces for Hostage Rescue

On Saturday, Katsina State Governor Alhaji Dikko Umar Radda praised the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army, and Nigeria Police Force for their successful joint operation that rescued 21 hostages, comprising 19 Christians and 2 Muslims, from kidnappers. The operation took place in the Dargaza Hill area of Danmusa Local Government.

The state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mua Zu, disclosed the details in a statement.

The operation also led to the arrest of four suspects who are currently undergoing investigation. The rescued victims included 16 women, two men, and three babies, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the banditry in the region.

Governor Radda reaffirmed the state government's commitment to protecting citizens regardless of their religion and emphasized the ongoing efforts to combat banditry and restore peace in Katsina State. He assured that the suspects would face the full weight of the law following the completion of investigations.
