Four Kidnappers Arrested, 21 Victims Rescued in Katsina

In Katsina, a successful joint security operation led to the arrest of four suspected kidnappers and the rescue of 21 victims, comprising three toddlers and 18 adults. The operation was conducted in the Dargaza Hill area of Danmusa Local Government Area and was driven by intelligence from the Department of State Services (DSS), in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, and Community Watch Corp.

The victims were abducted from Gidan Sarkin Bayero Village in Musawa LGA, which is known for being a stronghold of notorious bandit leader Kamilu Chiroma. Among the rescued individuals, 20 were Christians and two were Muslims, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the banditry.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda reaffirmed his commitment to ending banditry and restoring peace in Katsina State, commending the security agencies for their professionalism and courage during the operation. The suspects are currently undergoing investigation and will face the full weight of the law upon completion.
