Katsina Governor Praises Security Forces for Hostage Rescue

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda commended the Department of State Services (DSS), Army, and Police for their successful rescue of 21 hostages, comprising 19 Christians and 2 Muslims, during a joint security operation in Dargaza Hill, Danmusa Local Government Area, Katsina State. The operation, which was led by the State Commission of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr.

Nasir Mua Zu, resulted in the arrest of four suspects who are currently undergoing investigation. The rescued victims included 16 women, 2 men, and 3 babies, who were kidnapped from Gidan Sarkin Bayero Village in Musawa LGA.

The governor highlighted the indiscriminate nature of the banditry and reiterated the state government's commitment to protecting citizens regardless of their religion. He emphasized that the operation's success demonstrated effective intelligence-driven collaboration among security agencies.

The governor assured citizens that the suspects would face the full weight of the law upon completion of the investigation and reiterated the commitment to ending banditry and restoring peace across Katsina State.
