Governors Yusuf and Okpehbolo to Compensate Victims' Families

Governors Yusuf of Kano State and Okpehbolo of Edo State have concluded plans to compensate the families of 16 hunters who were killed in Uromi, Edo State. The compensation arrangement includes a payment of ₦300,000 for each of the deceased's families, while 12 injured individuals will receive ₦200,000 each, in addition to food items.

Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation for the Edo State government's gesture and noted the importance of supporting the victims' families. The compensation plan was finalized after previous delays attributed to the former chairman of the Uromi committee and Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam, who failed to carry out necessary steps.

The district head, Aminu Isha Umar, expressed confidence in Governor Yusuf's commitment to security and support for the people of Edo State, particularly in the Bunkur local government area.
