Kano State Compensates Uromi Attack Victims' Families

The Kano State Government, represented by Commissioner Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has redeemed its pledge to the families of victims from the Uromi attack by distributing ₦300,000 to each of the 16 families of those killed. Survivors of the attack received ₦200,000 each, along with two bags of rice per beneficiary.

This initiative follows a promise made by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf during a condolence visit. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of 19 individuals, with 13 others surviving the mob attack.

The Kano State Government has assured that the Edo State Government will soon release funds to support the victims, as an account has already been opened for this purpose. Waiya urged the families to remain patient, emphasizing the government's commitment to ensuring justice and solidarity with the victims' families in the aftermath of this national calamity.
