Bayelsa United Feeders Crowned Yenagoa LGA Champions

Bayelsa United Feeders emerged as the champions of the Yenagoa Local Government Area in the Governor's Cup, popularly known as the Prosper Cup. They triumphed over Brazil FC with a score of 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 2-2 draw during regular time.

The final took place at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa. As champions, Bayelsa United Feeders received a cash prize of ₦1,000,000, while the runners-up, Brazil FC, were awarded ₦500,000.

The tournament, which involved eight local government areas, was highlighted by Hon. Bulodisey Ndiwari, the chairman of Yenagoa Local Government, as a successful initiative aimed at engaging youth and promoting talent discovery in the state.

The Director General of the tournament, Mr. Ono Akp, noted that the LGA final showcased entertaining football and justified the governor's investment in youth development.

The next round of the tournament is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
