Soludo Vows to Tackle Fake Pastors in Anambra State

During a town hall meeting held in Awka on May 11, 2023, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State reiterated his commitment to cracking down on fake pastors and self-acclaimed native doctors operating within the state. He warned that the administration would no longer tolerate activities that mislead residents and promote criminal behavior.

Soludo stressed the importance of sanitizing the religious and traditional sectors to restore public trust. He highlighted that individuals who exploit religion and traditional practices to deceive desperate youth with false promises of instant wealth would face legal action.

The governor directed security agencies to intensify surveillance across communities to ensure the arrest and prosecution of those involved in criminal activities, including the promotion of illegal charms. He urged residents to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities, emphasizing that the fight against crime requires collective responsibility.
