Nigerian Leader Grace Dominic Champions Global Sustainability

Grace Chikaodi Dominic, hailing from Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria, is recognized as an emerging global green leader. Her academic journey began at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, where she graduated top of her class in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Forestry and Environmental Management.

Her research attracted recognition, including support from former Abia State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.

In 2022, she earned a scholarship to the Yale School of the Environment, where she is pursuing a master's degree in Forestry, expected to graduate in 2024. At Yale, she co-led the African Student Interest Group and contributed to various initiatives, including the Yale Environment Leadership Training Initiative.

Grace is also involved with the California Society of Ecological Restoration and has been invited to the 2025 World Bank Group Youth Summit, focusing on environmental sustainability and economic policy amidst increasing global environmental risks.
