NDLEA Reports 50 Graduates in Drug Rehab in Abia State

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) reported that 50 individuals, comprising graduates and undergraduates, are currently undergoing rehabilitation at their center in Aba, Abia State. This information was revealed by Deputy Commandant Bekweli Chukwu during a lecture at a sensitization program organized for the Nigerian Army troops of the 14 Brigade in Ohafia.

The program aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its harmful effects on individuals and society. Chukwu emphasized the importance of addressing drug abuse, particularly within the military, as it undermines professionalism and compromises judgment, thereby endangering lives.

He encouraged the troops to remain vigilant and uphold integrity while seeking necessary help to manage stress and prevent substance abuse. The NDLEA's efforts reflect a commitment to rehabilitating individuals affected by drug addiction and promoting a drug-free environment.
