Green Falcons Beat African All-Stars 30-12 in Lagos

The Green Falcons, Nigeria's women's national rugby league team, triumphed over the African All-Stars with a score of 30-12 in an exhibition match held at the Alaro City International Rugby Pitch in Lagos. This match concluded the Nigerian Rugby League Association's (NRLA) Rugby League Development Week.

The Green Falcons, led by their top try scorer, dominated the first two periods, scoring six tries and completing two conversions. Despite a strong regrouping by the African All-Stars in the third and fourth periods, where they scored three tries, the Falcons maintained their lead.

Princess Avorcah and Juli Bleu contributed to the African All-Stars' efforts. The event featured players from Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Uganda, and Kenya, and was part of a week-long program aimed at promoting rugby in Nigeria.

Adebisi, the NRLA vice chairman, expressed delight in the performance of the Green Falcons and emphasized the need for support to further develop rugby in Nigeria. Lekan Fatodu, the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, highlighted the importance of sports as a diplomatic tool.
