Northern Youth Alliance Demands El-Rufai's Prosecution

The Northern Youth Alliance has urged the prosecution of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, in light of findings from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC). The group highlighted a transfer of N428,122,180 to an undisclosed account, calling for a comprehensive investigation into these allegations.

The statement, issued by Saminu Dantala in Abuja, raised serious concerns about national security and the abuse of public trust, emphasizing the need for transparency and integrity in governance. The group noted that El-Rufai is also scrutinized for multiple corruption allegations, including the troubling disappearance of N1.4 million and 180 suspicious payments totaling N2,158,799,199 linked to Kaduna State's Internally Generated Revenue account.

They called for immediate action from the judiciary and anti-graft agencies to ensure due process and accountability, asserting that no individual is above the law regardless of political status.
