Kaduna Citizens Demand Justice for El-Rufai's Fraud Case

Citizens of Kaduna State have rallied to demand the investigation and prosecution of former Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for alleged involvement in a N432 billion fraud case. The protest, organized by a group led by Comrade Victor Duniya, took place outside the offices of the DSS, EFCC, and ICPC, where participants carried placards calling for justice.

The group accused El-Rufai of compromising national security and urged the security agencies to act without fear or favor. They highlighted a report from the Kaduna State House of Assembly, dated June 5, 2024, which indicted El-Rufai for misappropriating public funds.

The protests followed El-Rufai's previous detentions by the EFCC on February 16, 2026, and the ICPC on February 18, 2026. The citizens expressed their determination to see El-Rufai held accountable, emphasizing that no one is above the law and calling for the return of stolen funds.
