Group Demands Release of Abba Kyari Despite Presidential Pardons

The Movement Emancip Nigeria Men are calling for the immediate release of Abba Kyari, the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, citing presidential pardons granted to other convicted criminals. They argue that Kyari's continued detention is unjust, especially in light of recent pardons.

Kyari, a former head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, is facing trial for alleged involvement in drug trafficking and fraud. The group criticizes the prosecution of Kyari and warns that it could discourage law enforcement officials.

They appeal directly to President Bola Tinubu and the Attorney General, Lateef Fagbemi, to end Kyari's ordeal.
