Coalition Endorses Henry Ikoh for Abia Governorship 2027

The Nigeria Inter-Tribal Inter-Religious Alliance for Peace and Unity has officially endorsed Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh for the 2027 Abia State governorship election. This endorsement was announced in a statement jointly signed by the coalition's national coordinator, Fridai Mbomo, following an interactive session held on May 13, 2026, at the Royal Choice Inn.

The group emphasized that Ikoh represents the best direction for the future of Abia State and called on all residents, both at home and in the diaspora, to support his bid for the governorship ticket under the Progress Congress. They described Ikoh as a tested and visionary leader with a strong track record in public service, having previously served as the Minister of State for Science and Technology.

The coalition highlighted his leadership capabilities, particularly in policy initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and technological advancement. They also noted his extensive network across political, diplomatic, and business circles, which could attract significant investment to Abia State.
