Civil Society Group Defends Senator Karimi Against Claims

A civil society group, Civil Society Group Volunt Media Advocacy, has responded to claims against Senator Sundai Karimi, labeling them as baseless and politically motivated. The group, led by Country Director Joseph Ezejiegu, stated that the allegations are attempts by certain individuals to destabilize the peace and democratic order in Kogi State.

They emphasized that there is no credible constitutional basis for the claims made against Karimi, who is recognized for his democratic leadership style and engagement with constituents. The group passed a resolution in Lokoja, asserting that Karimi remains widely accepted within his constituency and is committed to delivering democratic dividends.

They urged members of the public and the APC to disregard the malicious political theatrics and instead focus on unity and support for leaders committed to democratic ideals. The statement highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and stability in Kogi State amidst the spread of misinformation.
