Yayi Progress Movement Donates N1bn for Ogun Governorship Bid

The Yayi Progress Movement, a political group based in Ogun State, announced a significant donation of N1 billion and 27 brand new buses to support Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, in his bid for the governorship in the 2027 elections. The announcement was made during an event held at the Ak Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta, where Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun urged aspirants to rally together for party unity.

Armstrong Akintund, who convened the event, emphasized the group's commitment to ensuring Adeola's emergence as the next governor, highlighting his proven track record. Akintund also expressed readiness to deliver the highest number of votes in the South West region for the APC in the upcoming elections.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including former Deputy Governor Adegbenga Kaka and Senator Gbenga Obadara, marking a significant milestone in the political landscape of Ogun State.
