Coalition Praises Tinubu Family for Grassroots Governance

A coalition of civil society organizations, including GMI and the Democracy Watch Initiative, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, and Seyi Tinubu for their grassroots-focused governance style. In a letter sent to Aso Rock, they noted that this approach has brought leadership closer to the people at the grassroots level.

The coalition, represented by Samaila Musa, emphasized a three-dimensional approach to governance involving direct leadership, humanitarian outreach, and youth mobilization. They praised the First Lady's humanitarian initiatives, particularly the Renew Hope Initiative, which aims to address child malnutrition and empower vulnerable groups, especially women.

The coalition also encouraged the administration to maintain an open-door governance style to ensure continuous engagement with citizens. They highlighted the importance of grassroots development and the need for youth to actively participate in the Renew Hope agenda, rather than being mere spectators.
