First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Awarded Honorary Doctorate

The Renewed Hope Neighbour to Neighbour Initiative praised Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for receiving an Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) Degree in Education from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) during its convocation ceremony on Saturday. This honorary degree acknowledges her significant contributions to education, women empowerment, humanitarian service, and national development.

Hon Belusochukwu Enwere, the National Coordinator of the Initiative, described the award as a fitting recognition of Senator Tinubu's impactful leadership and dedication to national development since she assumed office in 2023. Under her leadership, the Renewed Hope Initiative has become one of Nigeria's largest social intervention platforms, reaching over 40 million households across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The initiative has provided business grants, vocational training, scholarships, and healthcare support, particularly benefiting women and youths in the South-East region. Senator Tinubu's advocacy also emphasizes girls' education and family stability as essential components of national development.
