Group Alleges Plot to Destabilize APC Governors' Forum

The Federal National Party of Nigeria (FNPP) has issued a warning regarding an alleged plot to destabilize the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF) as Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections. The group, led by Chairman Sani Magaji and Secretary Ik Chidolu, described this development as a strategic danger capable of undermining the political coordination necessary for the APC's Renewed Hope agenda.

The FNPP emphasized that the current leadership, with Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Deputy Chairman Uba Sani, plays a crucial role in stabilizing the APC's political structure. The statement drew parallels to the 2015 elections, referencing the removal of former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi from the Nigeria Governors' Forum, which contributed to the collapse of the PDP's dominance.

The FNPP urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene to maintain unity within the APC and protect the party's structure ahead of the elections.
