APC Urged to Zone Ogun West Senate Ticket to Imeko-Afon

The Ketu Intelligentsia Forum (KIF) has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to allocate the Ogun West Senate ticket for the 2027 elections to Imeko-Afon. In an open letter dated April 28, 2026, addressed to the APC state working committee, the forum emphasized the importance of equity and the need to address long-standing marginalization in the region.

The letter, signed by Princ Sola Bamigbad, Secretary General, Abdulateef Olusoji Emilandu, Director of Strategic Mobilization, and Dr. Ayilara Ayinla Muraina, Chairman of the forum, highlighted the grassroots appeal of Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and his potential to unify voters across Ogun West.

The forum argued that zoning the Senate ticket to Imeko-Afon would strengthen the APC's electoral base and ensure a unified block vote, thereby enhancing the party's chances in future elections. They acknowledged the historical context of the region's political landscape and urged the party to consider these factors in their decision-making.
