Oyebanji Thanks Ekiti for Peaceful Election Support

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji thanked the citizens for their overwhelming support that led to his re-election on June 20. In a statement issued by his special adviser on media, Yinka Oyebod, he expressed deep appreciation for the people's unity and commitment to ensuring a peaceful electoral process across the 16 local government areas of the state.

Governor Oyebanji noted that the peaceful conduct of the election set a benchmark for electoral processes in the country. He commended various stakeholders, including political leaders, religious bodies, and traditional rulers, for their roles in maintaining peace during the election period.

He invited candidates from the Peoples Democratic Party and African Democratic Party to collaborate in building a prosperous Ekiti State. He also acknowledged the contributions of former governors and members of the National Assembly, as well as security agencies, in ensuring a peaceful election.

Governor Oyebanji reiterated his commitment to delivering greater dividends of democracy during his second term.
