Gunmen Ambush Zamfara Governor's Chief of Staff's Convoy

On Thursday, around 6:16 PM, gunmen ambushed the convoy of Zamfara Governor’s Chief of Staff, Lugga, while traveling along the Funtua-Gusau road near Kucheri. The armed assailants surrounded Lugga's vehicle and opened fire in a coordinated assault.

Fortunately, neither Lugga nor the driver was hit during the attack. The driver managed to steer the vehicle away from the scene, enabling both to escape unharmed.

Bullet holes were later observed in the front windscreen of the vehicle. As of the time of this report, security agencies had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
