Gunmen Kidnap 23 People in Plateau, Benue, and Kaduna States, Sparking Outrage and Security Concerns

Gunmen carried out kidnappings in three Nigerian states - Plateau, Benue, and Kaduna. In Plateau State, gunmen attacked the Dogon Ruwa community, killing one person and abducting 6 individuals, including the imam and muezzin of the community.

In Benue State, armed men abducted nine worshippers during a vigil at St. John's Catholic Church in Ojiji Utokon district.

The incident has caused panic in the community. In Kaduna State, six residents were abducted in the Millennium City area, leading to protests by youth and women demanding improved security.

Security personnel are actively engaged in rescue efforts in all three states. The Plateau State Police and Benue State Police have confirmed the abductions and are conducting investigations to secure the release of the victims.
