Gunmen Kill Three Security Operatives in NIPSS Attack

On Monday night, gunmen attacked the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) located in Kuru, Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of three security operatives, including a policeman. The assault occurred around 11:40 PM when the attackers opened fire on security personnel stationed at the main gate, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the attack caused confusion and panic among staff members, who initially did not understand what was happening until they realized the institute was under attack. The Plateau State Police Command confirmed the loss of three security personnel during the incident and expressed regret over the attack.
