Gunmen Kill Two, Abduct Women and Children in Plateau

In a recent attack in Plateau, gunmen killed two residents and abducted five others, including women and children. The assault occurred unexpectedly, with assailants storming the community and opening fire indiscriminately, causing panic among the residents.

Furyam Takzul Haruna Khalid, a local youth leader, confirmed the fatalities and the abductions, expressing the community's devastation and trauma following the invasion. The attack has heightened fears of potential further assaults, leading Khalid to urge security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the abducted victims and improve security surveillance in vulnerable communities across the Kanam Local Government Area.

As of the time of reporting, police and military authorities had not commented on the incident.
