Gunmen Kill Two in Plateau State Village Attack

On Tuesday night, gunmen invaded Rim Village in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others. The attack occurred around 10:30 PM, with residents reporting that the assailants fired indiscriminately for several minutes before fleeing into the surrounding bush.

John Sati, a resident, confirmed the fatalities and stated that the injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Rwang Tengwong, a spokesperson for the Berom Youth Movement, described the incident as a disturbing episode in a series of recurrent attacks in the area.

He urged security agencies to intensify patrols to ensure a prompt response and to apprehend the perpetrators. Efforts to reach SP Alfr Alabo, spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, were unsuccessful as his phone was switched off at the time of the report.
