Gunmen Kidnap Couple in Ondo State Community Attack

On Friday at 9:45 PM, gunmen attacked a couple in Ilu Abo, Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State, as they returned home from a shop. The assailants surrounded the couple's residence and forcibly abducted them, leaving the community in panic.

During the incident, a neighbor, Mr. Patrick Ilumaro, was present and witnessed the attack.

Following the incident, the police, led by Jimoh Abayomi, the Commissioner of Police, have initiated tactical operations in the area to rescue the abducted couple and apprehend the kidnappers. Adebowal Lawal, another police official, confirmed the deployment of tactical teams to comb the surrounding bush areas.

The police have urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies, advising them to report any credible information to the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
