Gunmen Attack Ondo Farmer, Kidnap His Wife

On Wednesday night, around 8:45 PM, gunmen shot a farmer named Adesida Daniel in Ondo State and abducted his wife. The incident took place along Oda Road in Akure.

DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force in Ondo State, confirmed the attack and condemned the criminal act. The victim sustained a gunshot injury to his right hand while attempting to resist the assailants.

Following a distress call, police quickly mobilized to the scene, ensuring the injured farmer received medical attention at a police clinic. The police command has directed an intensification of patrols and bush combing operations in the area to gather intelligence and track down the suspects.

Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to the nearest police station. This incident adds to the growing security concerns in Ondo State, particularly regarding kidnappings and attacks on farmers along rural roads.
