Gunmen Kidnap Pregnant Woman in Ondo Community Raid, Police Launch Rescue Operation

Gunmen attacked Ayedun community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria, kidnapping a pregnant woman named Mari Jesulayomi. The criminals stormed the community, shooting randomly and causing chaos.

An 85-year-old woman, Pa Ogunley Mese, was also briefly kidnapped but later released. The Nigerian Police confirmed the incident and are making efforts to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.

The attack occurred around 7:40 pm, with the gunmen attempting to abduct Mari Jesulayomi and another woman who managed to escape. The community is in fear as security forces deploy tactical teams to the scene to address the situation.
