Gusau's Vision for Grassroots Football in Nigeria

Ade Segun, the South-West Coordinator of the Gusau 4+4 Solidarity Forum, has commended the grassroots football development vision of Ibrahim Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Segun described this vision as a strategic initiative aimed at securing the future of Nigerian football.

His remarks followed a review of preparations for the upcoming Gusau/Allan Pre-season Tournament, set to commence soon in Katsina State. Since taking office in 2022, Gusau has shown a strong commitment to grassroots football, shifting focus to critical areas that were previously neglected.

Under his leadership, the NFF has established structures to prioritize talent discovery, youth participation, and sustainable football development. Over the past four years, Gusau's administration has introduced and enhanced programs aimed at identifying and nurturing young football talents across Nigeria.
