Nigerian Breweries Reports N804bn Revenue in H1 2026

Nigerian Breweries Plc announced its financial results for the first half of the 2026 financial year, reporting a Group Revenue of N804 billion, which is a 9% increase from N738 billion in the same period of 2025. The company restored its retained earnings to a positive position, indicating improved financial health.

The unaudited results for the period ending June 30, 2026, showed an Operating Profit growth of 8%, rising from N152 billion in 2025 to N164 billion, despite a 20% increase in Selling, Distribution, and Administration Expenses. Profit Before Tax grew by 18%, aided by a reduction in Net Finance Expenses.

However, the implementation of new tax rates moderated the growth in Profit After Tax to 5%, increasing from N161 billion in the first half of 2025 to N193 billion in 2026. Uaboi Agbebaku, the Company Secretary/Legal Director, stated that the results reflect the company's resilience amid macroeconomic challenges and emphasize strategic investments in premium brands and effective revenue management.
