The All Progressives Congress (APC) held gubernatorial primaries across various states, resulting in several candidates winning their respective tickets. Notable winners include Dr.

Obafemi Hamzat (Lagos), Solomon Adeola (Ogun), Mustapha Gubio (Borno), and Peter Mbah (Enugu). The party is set to conduct presidential primaries on May 23, 2026, as announced by Senate Secretary Ajibola Basiru.

The primaries will utilize a direct voting method across 8,809 wards nationwide, with results collated at local government levels. The APC leadership has advised aggrieved members to approach various appeal committees to address their concerns.

Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized the need for party unity to ensure success in the upcoming elections, urging members to commit to the party's goals for economic growth and security.
