Kadri Hamzat Positions Himself as Top Lagos Candidate for 2027

Dr. Kadri Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections, declared himself the best candidate for the position during a speech at the 70th Harvest Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service of the Cherubim and Seraphim Society in Ese-Ofin, Lagos. Hamzat highlighted his extensive knowledge of Lagos' history and politics, stating that effective governance requires such understanding.

He warned residents to be cautious of politicians making unrealistic promises during the campaign period, asserting that the APC would not mislead voters. Hamzat recounted his journey in public service, noting his previous roles as Commissioner for Science and Technology, Commissioner for Works, and now Deputy Governor, all of which have equipped him for leadership.

He also called for prayers for the nation, emphasizing the significance of Lagos in Nigeria's economy, contributing over 33% of the GDP.
